We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Social Media Strategist to join our dynamic team at Zipabout. As a Social Media Strategist, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing effective social media strategies to enhance our brand visibility, engage with our target audience, and drive business growth. If you are passionate about social media, have a keen eye for trends, and possess exceptional communication skills, we want to hear from you!

You are a social media enthusiast with a deep understanding of various social media platforms, trends, and best practices.  A creative thinker with a knack for developing engaging and compelling content that resonates with our target audience.  A strategic planner who can analyse data, identify key insights, and optimise social media campaigns for maximum impact.

Core duties
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to drive brand awareness, increase engagement, and generate leads.
  • Create and curate engaging and shareable content across various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of our social media channels, including content scheduling, posting, and monitoring.
  • Monitor social media trends, tools, and applications, and apply relevant insights to continually improve our social media presence.
  • Analyse social media metrics and generate reports to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging platforms, and trends, and provide recommendations on how to leverage them for our brand.
  • Engage with our online community, respond to comments and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the team to align social media efforts with broader strategies and campaigns.
  • Stay informed about our industry and competitors, and identify opportunities to differentiate our brand through social media.
Vital experience

Please don't try and blag these or tell us you will pick them up quickly - we don't have time to teach the following!

  • Proven work experience as a Social Media Strategist or similar role.
  • Sound experience of working with consumer brands
  • Experience of building up a social media following from scratch is highly advantageous  
  • Solid understanding of social media platforms, tools, and analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful social media campaigns.
  • Proficient in using social media management and scheduling tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with graphic design and video editing tools is a plus.

LOCATION

We operate a hybrid working environment.  We expect this role to be based in London with regular travel to Oxford. This role can be carried out split between your home and our office.  It is important to note that although you can spend a portion of your time WFH we will need to see you face-to-face on a weekly basis.
